Presentation UGRF
The Uganda Geodetic Reference Frame (UGRF) provides the framework for all positioning activities in the Country. The foundational elements of Northings (N), Eastings (E), Elevation, and Geoid Model information impact a wide range of important geospatial activities in Uganda.
The UGRF is composed of the following classes of Geodetic Control Points:
- 9 Zero Order Geodetic Control Points with 6 Auxiliary Points
- 129 First Order Geodetic Control Points
- 297 Second Order Geodetic Control Points
- 40 CORS
- Geoid Model – UGEOID2020
The information on the individual stations and data can be accessed, including the ITRF2005 Cartesian coordinates for the CORS sites, but not all the sites may be available from the UGRF servers at the time of accessing them.
The GNSS Constellations for the CORS is made up of the following:
- GPS, Global Positioning Systems of USA
- GLONASS system of the Russian Federation
- Galileo system administered by the European Union
- The Chinese Beidou system
- Japanese Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) augmentations
The services available from the UGRF Site include:
